Hi friends! Welcome back! I really like the flower image of the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set so I picked this one to make two more Mother’s Day cards. Here’s the first one!
Following the guidelines from the AECP ‘All about layering’ cource, I simply stamped all the layers of the flowers and the leaves with shades of pink and green colors before fussy cutting it all with my scissors. Then I started working on my background by stamping the sentiment, scoring a few lines and adding some black splotches of watercolor. For the sentiment I used the Altenew Calligraphy Alpha stamp set for the word ‘mom’ and the rest is from the Sakura Blossom stamp set, also by Altenew, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
With the background ready, I simply layered the cut out images and adhered everything with foam squares.
Next, I decided to go ahead and do some water-coloring. So after white heat embossing my flower arrangement, I pulled out my Zig clean color real brush pens and started having some coloring fun!
Once again I stamped the word ‘mom’ with the Calligraphy Alpha stamp set, the ‘thank you’ comes from the Altenew Floral Shadow stamp set and the rest is from the ‘Adore you’ stamp set, also by Altenew.
As a final step, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh clear droplets on top to accent.
I’d love to know which look you like better!
Have a happy Mother’s Day and a fabulous weekend!
See you soon!
