Yay! My Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit arrived right before we say goodbye to May and hello to summer! Lots of fun products to play with in this kit. I particularly love the stamp set with the gorgeous flowers and font. Lovely for friendship cards. So I used it quite a lot! And let’s start!
For the first card I created a flower wreath with the sentiment on one side. I used SSS Hollyhock dye ink, MFT Daffodil and Grout Gray dye inks. To embellish, I added black enamel dots by Doodlebug and foam mounted the panel onto an A2 card base.
For the second card I blended some Lake Shores dye ink (from the kit) and added a few splothes of the same color. I stamped the sentiment from the smaller stamp set that is included in the kit and die cut the word ‘heart’ out of black card stock. I chose a bunch of epoxy heart stickers and foam mounted the panel onto an A2 card base.
For this one I white heat embsossed the border stamp from the stamp set and the sentiment onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock and added some puffy heart stickers and dots of white Nuvo to accent.
This card couldn’t be easier! I used patterned paper from the kit, stamped one of the sentiments and added a few heart stickers.
I continued playing with the patterned paper, trimmed one of it in a diagonal, adhered another underneath, stamped the sentiment with the Melon ink that is included in the kit and added a few heart stickers. Easy peasy!
For this one I stamped the flowers in kind of a rainbow order. Then stamped the sentiment and added dots of Nuvo Jewel Drops in matching colors: Orange Marmalade, Limoncello, Rosewater, Sea Breeze.
Next I did a bit of ink smooshing onto a piece of watercolor paper using Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed Distress inks.
I then stamped the largest of the sentiments with Versamark ink and gold heat embossed. I repeated the process three times to have a good bold sentiment. I finished off by adding a few matching sequins.
I saved my favorite for the end. I used one of my favorite stencils from Altenew, Watercolor Stripes, to blend some Mustard Seeds Distress ink. I then added drops of the same color with a watercolor brush and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I continued by stamping a bunch of flowers and leaves from the set. I used Lake Shores dye ink from the kit and also Altenew Mountain Mist and MFT Grout Gray inks.
I fussy cut all the flowers and leaves and adhered it with foam squares. I also stamped some dots from the set with Mustard Seeds Distress ink and added matching Sprinkles by Doodlebug to the centers of the flowers.
There are so many ways to play with this kit. I still haven’t used the smaller stamp set, or the patterned paper, I still have many stickers and I can make flower arrangements in all color combinations! Just love it!
I really hope I’ve given you some ideas on how to use your May kit by Simon Says Stamp. And I’d love to know which one is your favorite!
Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you soon!
