Hello lovely people! Happy World Card Making Day! Remember when I told you how much I enjoy the ‘Joy of Watercolor’ book by Emma Block? Well, today’s card jumped out of this book! I’m a beginner at watercoloring so my card is rather simple, but that’s what I like about it! That, and the fact that was hand drawn and made out of minimal supplies.
I followed the steps on the book to draw and then color this image. When dry, I cut it out to be slightly smaller than my base (which measures 4 1/4 by 7 3/4 in) and stamped a sentiment from the Altenew Happy Bloom stamp set. For my base, I used Soft Navy card stock from Simon Says Stamp and no extra embellishments were added.
To color the image I used my Sakura Koi watercolor set. So, don’t be afraid to draw or paint or color. Use anything you have on hand and be creative. You’ll have so much fun! I certainly did enjoy the process of making this card!
Stay tuned because there will be some giveaways soon!
Have a lovely day and I’ll see you soon!
