Hi friends! The Altenew February Inspiration Challenge is always a great source of inspiration and this time it incorporates some of my favorite shades of Blue-Green and Red-Violet.

Another source of inspiration for my card was Nina Marie Trapani and her pastel copic shading in the Polychromatic course over at the Altenew Academy. So I loosely colored the beautiful Cattleya image with copics and came up with this card.

The colors I used are:

Pinks: RV10, RV11, RV13 and RV14

Blue-Greens: BG72, BG75, BG78

I die cut the images using the coordinating die and started working on the background. I trimmed a piece of Dark Gray cardstock to be 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. Then went all around it with white pigment ink and a blending tool. I white heat embossed the sentiment and added lots of white splatters using white gouache and a paint brush.

Finally, I foam mounted the two Cattleya brunches and adhered the panel onto a standard A2 card base. I paired my card with a Limestone envelope and called it done!

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a great week and I’ll see you soon!
