Hello and welcome back! So happy to see you again! Have you played with the Altenew March Inspiration Challenge yet? The inspiration color scheme and picture are really stunning! Take a look!
And here’s my card
The Altenew Wonderland stamp set just knocked my door and I am completely in love with it. So, inspired by the challenge and the Impressive Heat Embossing course by instructor Svetlana Marchenko, I decided to gold heat emboss the beautiful flower images from the set and watercolor it.
I started by stamping the images with Versamark ink onto a piece of Arches cold pressed watercolor paper and heat embossing it with Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. Then pulled out my small Daniel Smith watercolor palette and started coloring. I mainly used Pyrrol Red, Quinacridone Gold and Undersea Green. Then I used the matching dies to cut my images.
For the background I did a bit of ink smooshing with Bandled Sage Distress Ink. I added some green and white splattering and arranged my flowers before adhering it with foam tape.
To embellish my card a bit more I added a couple of the Altenew Butterfly Acetate Die Cuts.
The sentiment also comes from the Wonderland stamp set and it was white heat embossed on a strip of Dark Gray cardstock.
Finally everything was mounted on a standard card base with double sided tape for more stability.
You will see me using this fabulous stamp set again. Until then, take care and keep crafting!
I’m also entering this card to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Whatever the weather
