Hello friends! A few days ago we visited a gorgeous mountain area in Epirus, Tzoumerka. I love mountains just as much as I love the sea. And always seek opportunities to discover new places.
Inspired by the beautiful mountain view, the fresh mountain air, and the tranquility of the village Syrrako I made this card.
I stamped the mountains from the Simon Says Stamp From The Rooftops stamp set three times using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and a piece of Arches Cold Pressed watercolor paper.
Then used Daniel Smith Undersea Green and some white gouache to color it. I die cut it with the matching dies and set aside.
I added water and loose blue watercolor on another piece of watercolor paper to create the sky and foam mounted the mountains on top of it. I adhered the piece on a standard A2 card base.
I die cut a circle from a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and used foam tape to put it in place.
I white heat embossed the three echoing messages from the stamp set and die cut it all out with the matching dies. Then used more foam tape to place it onto my card.
I hope I transferred some of the beauty of the mountains on this card. Here’s a picture of Syrrako, a village where cars are not welcome, a place where people had the fewest of means and yet created so much! Wishing our urban environment was slightly as respectful to nature.
The stamp set I used for today’s card is no longer available. But for me it is brand new, since this is the first time I’m using it. So, go ahead, search your stash and give your craft supplies some love. They will give back!
Have a wonderful day freinds! See you soon!
